Pursuing My Passion for Sports as a Visually Impaired Individual

Sports have always intrigued me, and I’ve longed to be part of that world. However, as a visually impaired person, the lack of resources and opportunities in the institutions I’ve attended, including Garisa University where I earned my Business Management degree, has made it difficult.

Despite my passion, I’ve been held back by the absence of inclusive sports programs and my limited knowledge of organizations that support persons with disabilities in sports. I know how transformative sports can be for physical health, confidence, and personal growth, and I’m eager to finally engage in it.

I’m seeking connections with any organizations or federations that provide opportunities for individuals like me to participate in sports. If there’s a way I can be part of this world, I’m ready to take that step.
